Call me crazy, but I actually love planning Disney vacations. I love getting up early 180 days before my trip and booking all my dining... same with FastPasses. I love looking at wait times and trying to plan what ride to rope drop which day and get the most out of my time at Disney. For someone like me, why would I need a Disney travel agent? First off, why not? They are free and can make your life easier. Second because she found out about discounts before I knew they were even being released! Mary was able to get me a room at the Grand Floridian for $11 more TOTAL than where I was currently booked. She called Disney at 6AM, waited on hold and had everything reserved for me "just in case" I wanted to upgrade. I woke up that morning and had a text waiting for me telling me I had a room reserved for me if I wanted it. How awesome is that? She also let me know as soon as reservations were available for the Droid Depot and Oga's Cantina at the new Galaxy Edge (Star Wars Land). I would have had no idea they were even available. Also, I now have two people (hopefully more, I'm hoping to get my husband to help as well...) booking FastPasses at 7:00 AM 60 days out. That may sound crazy, but Slinky Dog and Flight of Passage are still hard to get at good times! She set up Magical Express for me and coordinated all my flight information so that I don't have to worry about transportation. If we have any problems during our trip, all I have to do is give Mary a call and I know she will be on top of it. There is no reason to not use a travel agent! This is my third trip planned by a Disney planner, but my first time using Mary. I have to say, she has blown the others away! I highly recommend Mary and will be using her for all future trips. 5+ stars!
