I am a Type A person that enjoys planning trips almost as much as going on them so I was a little apprehensive about using a travel agent for our recent Disney trip. I am SO glad that we booked our trip with Joy instead of doing it on our own!
She's like having a sidekick on your planning adventure. For us, she took care of a lot of the less fun things (like bookings, hotel check-in, reservations, and reminders) so that I could focus on planning the fun parts of the trip. When I needed someone to talk to about planning details, our itinerary, hard to get reservations, or anything else...she was there! She helped us to book a couple of dining reservations that I was having the hardest time finding availability for.
It really felt like having an ally as I was planning our trip and it was great to get advice and have someone to bounce ideas off of that really gets it. This was our 3rd Disney trip in 18 months so we know our way around and she was still SUCH a big help to us! I wish we would have used her on our first trips when we were still figuring everything out.
I definitely recommend using Joy and it didn't cost us a penny extra. Actually, she probably even saved us money instead of booking on our own!
